Talk on ‘Fruit Flies’ at Science Sanje

Mysuru: As part of ‘Science Sanje,’ Kalasuruchi and Kutuhali-Kannada have organised a talk on ‘Flirting Fruit Flies and the Origin of Species’ by Dr. Rajanikanth Chowdanayaka, Post Doctoral Researcher, Department of Entomology, Michigan State University (MSU), East Lansing, USA, at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar on July 11 from 6.15 pm to 8 pm.

Born in rural Mysuru,  Dr. Rajanikanth Chowdanayaka completed his academic training and Ph.D at the University of Mysore, where his research focused on the mechanisms of species formation in fruit flies. Driven by the fundamental question of how genetic changes bring about diverse phenotypic changes, Rajanikanth moved to the United States to pursue further research at MSU.
