Sword Attack Leaves Ice-Cream Truck Driver Injured in Ahmedabad, 4 Booked

A neighbourhood dispute in Ahmedabad’s Bapunagar turned violent after a 32-year-old ice-cream truck driver was allegedly attacked with a sword outside his house, leaving him with a fractured wrist. Three of his relatives were also assaulted while trying to intervene. Police have booked four accused in the case.

Argument outside house escalates

According to the complaint, Vijaybhai Ukaram Nachulal had returned home after parking his ice-cream truck near Gujarat Bottling when he found his cousin Leelaben and niece Sumanben arguing with a woman, identified as Kamlaben, and a few others outside their residence.

The situation allegedly escalated after Kamlaben called her son Love, who arrived along with his father Ramkishore and two associates, Sandeep and Montu.

Sword attack leaves victim with fractured wrist

When Vijaybhai tried to calm the situation, Love allegedly attacked him with a sword. Vijaybhai raised his left hand to shield himself, but the blow struck his wrist, causing a deep cut and fracture.

The complaint further alleges that the remaining accused assaulted him with wooden sticks and pipes. Leelaben and Sumanben also suffered injuries after they rushed to rescue him.

Four booked

The assault ended after local residents gathered at the spot. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital by ambulance.

Based on Vijaybhai’s complaint, Bapunagar Police have registered a case against Love, Ramkishore, Sandeep and Montu under relevant sections of the law. Further investigation is underway.
