Illinois basketball will host 2027 five-star guard NaVorro Bowman Jr. for an official visit beginning on Thursday. 247Sports ranks Bowman as the No. 11 overall prospect and the No. 2 combo guard in the Class of 2027.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound California guard — who is the son of former NFL All-Pro linebacker Navorro Bowman — visited UConn last weekend and is also scheduled to visit Texas on Sept. 19 and Arizona on Sept. 25.
Bowman was the fourth-leading scorer on the Nike EYBL 17U circuit this summer, averaging 20.5 points, 3.8 rebounds 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals for Team Why Not. As a junior at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks (Calif.), he averaged 22.5 points per game on 51% shooting from the field and 34% from three. He also had a very productive showing in Team USA’s dominant FIBA U17 World Cup victory, where he averaged 11.9 points, 3.6 assists and 2.7 rebounds.
