Lamborghini has taken the wraps off the new Urus SE Performante, bringing back the high-performance version of its flagship SUV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Replacing the discontinued non-hybrid Urus Performante, the new model is now the most powerful SUV Lamborghini has ever built, combining a twin-turbo V8 engine with electric power to produce an impressive 812hp.
Besides the extra performance, the Urus SE Performante also gets weight-saving measures, improved aerodynamics and chassis upgrades for a more engaging driving experience.
Hybrid V8 Delivers 812hp
Powering the new Urus SE Performante is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine paired with an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed automatic gearbox. The setup is supported by a 25.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack placed beneath the rear cargo floor.
The combined output stands at 812hp and 1,000Nm, making it 12hp and 50Nm more powerful than the standard Urus SE. Compared to the previous Urus Performante, the gains are even bigger.
Performance has also improved. Lamborghini claims the SUV can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 3.3 seconds and 0-200kmph in 10.8 seconds. Top speed remains electronically limited to 312kmph.
Despite the focus on performance, the SUV still offers a claimed 60km electric-only driving range.

Sharper Driving Experience
Lamborghini has revised the engine management software and gearbox calibration to improve throttle response and reduce torque lag.
A new Rally driving mode joins the existing Strada, Sport, Corsa and EV modes, allowing the SUV to deliver better performance on loose surfaces.
The Urus SE Performante also features a newly developed AURA dual-chamber air suspension, which helps reduce body roll during spirited driving while improving ride comfort. The company says vibrations have been reduced by 25 percent compared to the previous Urus Performante.
A new Integrated Power Brake (IPB) system, working with Lamborghini’s latest 6D vehicle dynamics controller, further enhances braking performance and overall agility.
Lighter Body, Better Aerodynamics
One of the biggest changes is the extensive use of lightweight materials. Lamborghini has managed to reduce the SUV’s weight by 32kg, bringing the kerb weight down to 2,473kg.
The bonnet, roof, roof wing, side skirts and rear diffuser are all finished in exposed carbon fibre. A lightweight Akrapovic titanium exhaust and lighter sound insulation also contribute to the weight savings.
The front bumper features larger air intakes and new S-Duct bonnet vents, improving cooling and airflow. Lamborghini claims the Performante generates 23 percent more downforce while reducing aerodynamic drag by 3 percent compared to the standard Urus SE.
The SUV rides on 22-inch or 23-inch alloy wheels, with buyers also having the option of performance-focused Pirelli or Bridgestone tyres.
Sportier Cabin
Inside, the Urus SE Performante gets Corsa Tex Dinamica microfiber upholstery, which helps save weight while giving the cabin a more sporty feel. Leather upholstery is available as an optional upgrade.
The SUV retains the dual 12.3-inch digital displays, but they now feature graphics inspired by the Lamborghini Revuelto. A new steering wheel with carbon fibre detailing further distinguishes the Performante from the standard model.
India Launch Likely
Lamborghini has not officially confirmed the India launch timeline for the Urus SE Performante. However, since the previous Urus Performante was sold in the country, the new plug-in hybrid version is also expected to make its way to Indian showrooms.
Currently, the Urus SE is the only Urus model on sale in India, priced at Rs 4.57 crore (ex-showroom).
