Fortis Escorts Expands Advanced Care Services With New Cancer, Neuro And Critical Care Centres

Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, has launched three new specialised units—a cancer institute, an institute of neurosciences, and a centre for critical care and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), to expand access to advanced tertiary care in the region.

The facilities have been introduced under the hospital’s “Future of Surgery” initiative, which aims to integrate multidisciplinary treatment pathways for patients requiring complex medical and surgical care.

The Fortis Cancer Institute will provide services across medical and surgical oncology, organ-specific cancer programmes, diagnostics, and treatment planning through multidisciplinary tumour board consultations. The hospital said the model is intended to support coordinated decision-making for individual patients.

The Institute of Neurosciences will offer treatment for conditions including stroke, epilepsy, brain and spine tumours, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological disorders. Services include neuro-navigation-assisted procedures, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and neuro-rehabilitation support.

The Centre of Excellence in Critical Care & ECMO has been established for patients with severe cardiac or respiratory failure, multi-organ dysfunction, and other life-threatening conditions requiring intensive care. The centre includes ECMO support, specialised ICU protocols, continuous monitoring systems, and rehabilitation services delivered by a multidisciplinary critical care team.
