Vivo S2 launched in India with 7050mAh battery: Check price and specs

Vivo has brought its S series back to India after almost seven years with the launch of the new Vivo S2. It succeeded the Vivo S1, which was launched in 2019. The new smartphone comes with a curved AMOLED display, a 7050mAh battery and a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor.

The Vivo S2 comes in three colour options, including Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze. It will go on sale in India from August 11.

Vivo S2 specifications and features

The Vivo S2 features a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports HDR10+ and can reach up to 3,000 nits of local peak brightness. The phone has a slim 7.99mm profile and weighs around 197 grams, depending on the colour variant.

For cameras, the phone gets a 50-megapixel Sony main sensor and a 32-megapixel front camera. Both cameras support 4K video recording, while the phone also gets a Dual View Video mode that can record from the front and rear cameras at the same time. AI Erase 2.0 is also available for removing unwanted objects from photos.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It also supports up to 8GB of Extended RAM. Vivo has added a large vapour chamber cooling system to help manage heat during gaming and other demanding tasks.

The Vivo S2 packs a 7050mAh battery with support for 44W FlashCharge. It also gets IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. On the software side, the phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

Vivo S2 price in India and availability

The Vivo S2 starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at Rs 49,999.

Vivo is also offering several launch benefits, including up to 10 per cent instant cashback on selected cards and UPI payments, an exchange bonus of up to 10 per cent and zero-down-payment options for up to 15 months on select partners. The phone also comes with one year of free extended warranty.

The device ships in three colourways: Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze. It will go on sale in India from August 11 through Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon and partner retail stores.
