Zimbabwe have made three changes to their squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India, recalling all-rounder Wessly Madhevere and fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri while handing wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga his maiden T20I call-up.

The 15-member squad, led by Sikandar Raza, will take on the reigning ICC Men’s T20 World Cup champions in Harare on July 23, 25 and 26.

Zimbabwe squad: Sikandar Raza (captain), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Tanaka Chivanga, Ben Curran, Brad Evans, Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, Richard Ngarava, Newman Nyamhuri, Milton Shumba, Tafadzwa Tsiga.

Madhevere returns to the national setup after missing the recent T20I series against Bangladesh, while Nyamhuri is back after recovering from the niggle that ruled him out of that series. Tsiga, meanwhile, has earned his first opportunity in the shortest format at international level.

Tanaka Chivanga, who came into the squad as Nyamhuri’s replacement for the Bangladesh series, has retained his place. Meanwhile, Clive Madande, Tinotenda Maposa and Tashinga Musekiwa have been left out for the India T20Is.

Zimbabwe head into the India series on the back of an encouraging home campaign against Bangladesh, despite the T20I series defeat. They registered an innings victory in the one-off Test before clinching the ODI series 2-1 in Harare.
